MENU OF TOMORROW — See Menu Note No. 1

I WILL NO LONGER TAKE A REMUNERATION FOR MY TIME.

Why? THE LORD HAS PAID ME VERY WELL OVER THE LAST 60 YEARS AND PROVIDED ME WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN BY WORKING WITH THE FINEST GROUP OF G&C. SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS EVEN WHEN I WAS GIVEN MY OWN BUILDING TO DO RESEARCH IN THE NEW INTEREST THE COMPANY HAD IN COMPUTERIZED DIAGNOSTICS FOR BOTH THE OTTO AND DIESEL ENGINE. MY TIME WAS SPENT IN A LABORATORY CONSISTING OF A LARGE BUILDING IN A BACK LOT OF THE COMPANY WITH A FEW TECHNICIANS AND A LOT OF ELECTRONICS. I HAD A PROGRAMMER TO DO THE WORK OF PROGRAMMING A COMPANY PROPRIETARY COMPUTER SO I COULD GET FAST FEEDBACK ON THE CHANGES WITHOUT HAVING TO STOP. FOR THE DIESEL RESEARCH I HAD AN ENGINE ON A DYNAMOMETER IN ANOTHER BUILDING. THERE WASN'T A DAY I FELT LIKE I WAS WORKING. A FEW MOMENTS MAYBE BUT NEVER THE WHOLE DAY.

My Plan is to have the customer pay it back for me. I give the time and talent and you give a donation to one of my approved charities and I then give you a invoice marked paid for my engineering time as the IRS does not let deductions in excess of something be deductible in a corporation as I found out the hard way. It was fortunate they were very understanding about my ignorance and just asked for the tax that should have been. That is the plan. The whole plan and nothing but the plan.

Today is a good day to show appreciation to the people who may someday save your life or the life of someone close to you and these are the times with the return of the Vandals returning to our cities that everyone of my suggested groups could do with some show of apprerciation.

Whenever you see US Military, a First Responders or a nurses in a public establishment show your appreciation for what they do by having your server or the manager put some percent of their cost on your bill anonymously. If it is not anonymous they might refuse it because they might worry about it being a bribe or many other nefarious reason for the gift. Any amount is fine. Remember, these people are the first help on the street or in the hospital and with the present

craziness we have in our cities.

Two items of the effects of socialism before the First World War are documented in the records of the Catholic Church. I chose this one because it seems to be both reverent in the upcoming election and has been on today's TV news. It demonstrated that Socialist never change from violence and their opinion of individual rights. It is to people on the news last year consistently stirring up mobs to physically harass the families of target opposition and have them driven out of restaurants and other public places. One is Warner and the other is Waters. They seem to spend more of their time last year promoting and vindicating the attackers of a person opposing Socialism down to infants. This is a quote taken from a Catholic Pope in 1884 and Warren and Waters seem to fit right into it. It has been around for a much longer time as spoken about by our Founders

. . . the authority of rulers despised, sedition permitted and approved, and the popular passions urged on to lawlessness, with no restraint save that of punishment, a change and overthrow of all things will necessarily follow. Yea, this change and overthrow is deliberately planned and put forward by many associations of communists and socialists. — (Encyclical Humanum Genus, April 20, 1884, n. 27).

ENGINEERING TIME RATES BILLED ON A TYPE ONE INVOICE

ALL CHARGES ARE FOR TIME (IN HOURS) AND ARE CHARGES ARE IN US DOLLARS PER HOUR

PAYMENT, INVOICES AND METHOD OF PAYMENT - A Travel Expense Report will be provided and should be paid to the person named on the Report. This report will be used whenever I paid the cash for the items purchased.
All my time required by your instructions will be billed on a TYPE Two Invoice. A TYPE ONE INVOICE is for time or labor you requested.
The TYPE ONE Invoice can only be paid by a donation to one or more Charities on the approved page.
NO money from a TYPE ONE Invoice can be paid to my self or my company Just to be sure I never get tempted to be like some NON PROFIT CHARITIES and take a large portion for a salary for me and every relative that will kick back half to me.
A new Invoice for Engineering Time will be supplied to you for tax purposes in the amount of the donation receipt you give me. When I receive a signed receipt fro the charity receiving the donation. It must be on their letter head and signed a with the amount on the receipt.
You can suggest a different charity that is not on the list but unless I approve that suggestion and indicate its approval by adding it to my list do not use that charity as it will not count if it is not on the list. If it is approved it will appear on the list and can be used when you see it on the list. Paid when it is in the form of a donation to one of the approved charities on my approved list. The name on the donation can be any name that you like as long as it is not mine or Crossfire Engineering's. Be Original! But for lack of imagination use the old grade school names for sign in sheets like I.P. Daily, Clawed Balls, Bat Man, Mack deKnife and the list goes on but I stop here.
If it is not listed on that approved page then IT DOES NOT COUNT AS PAYMENT! It will count if the name is added to the list. My decision is final and I will not discuss the reasons for not accepting a charity that I consider morally and ethically off the way.
I will not change an approved charity or take it off the list during the contracts effective time while under contract to accept it.
Some of my customers had parking lots so large and filled before their engineering work day started all spots close to the building was taken and it would take 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the building from where the parking spaces left for the engineers to use.
Walking from parking in a distant spot in a very large parking lots is time in both both comming from the transport to a location you wish or returning from that location to my vehicle is engineering or design time. Following Ben Franklin's motto: TIME IS MONEY seems American.
Time is any time you require me to do something. I includes driving time from where I am staying to where you want me. The time it takes to get from my parked vehicle to my work area, travel time and as such I do not accept any money from the people I do engineering work for or the people I can help with my classesBUT! (Ain't there always a but after saying I do not take any money for my services.

In-House Website Training Rates

Costs shown are for one student and one class. Max class size will be set at THREE (3) Payment due before start of lesson 1 of any block. One block is 7 1 to 1.5 hour classes. The goal of a block of 7 is to have a student able to understand the internet languages enough to do the rest themselves without the need for any web page tools or helpers. The course starts with Basics of programming and Flow Charts which is the basic road map of what you want the program to do and show where to start and where the end is. plus how to get instant help on the internet when something new is needed. My generation of system engineers learned to program in the language of the machine in binary then octal code. It is so simple compared to the complex programs to make things simple that are around today. My work in Guidance and Control was with a team that programmed the computer that took the astronauts from the launch/return vehicle, landed them on the moon and got them back to the ride home in orbit around the moon. Exciting times for a boy just out on his own with a BEE degree and no experience at all except guns and hot rods. Well those last two got me more patents and opportunities to work where ever I wanted.

Note No. 1: To study Perl requires:
  1. Must have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  2. Windows 10 computer with the following software installed and working before class starts:
    • UltraEdit about $80
    • Apache2.4 Server
    • The only one that will cost you is UltraEdit. It is the one used by all my low level programmer associates. which has a student cost of $80 for a lifetime of use. The Apache server and Active Perl are free to individuals on the the internet and I can help with the installation but not during class time.
PREREQUISITES FOR COURSE:
  1. You choose the class size: Class size can be from 1 to 3 individuals. Three is the maximum.
  2. Normal computer knowledge is required as far as using a word processor (for familiarity with keyboards), saving and retrieving files and your web work. I like word processors since I am dyslexic and their spell checkers and grammar checkers are great.
  3. A computer with
    1. Windows 10 Or Ubuntu Linux 18.04
    2. The computer must have the Apache file server Apache 2.4. It is free
    3. The server must be working. Apache 2.4 is the same server used on the internet and most of the web pages are served from an Apache server available at Apache Lounge . It is the same file server used at most it not all website hosting companies. They can supply the windows server but that costs more per year and has different parameters than the Apache one a Unix coded file server.
    4. You will need a real text editor. The one I and all the programmers I know recommend and use is UltraEdit. What comes free in Windows is worthless more than that it is annoying for code writing.
    5. If you wish to do pages in Perl a working knowledge of HTML and CSS is a MUST before you start with perl generated web sites that are totally interactive. Perl is free for non commercial use at Active State.
    6. If you plan to go on the internet with web pages you will need to get a FTP Client to send your completed web pages up to a server like InMotion or GoDaddy which cost anywhere from $3.00 a month to big bucks a month what ever you need is whatever server you are using. I use Flotilla available free at is available free at Apache Lounge If you are planning on Perl Classes you will in addition to the server need to have Perl available on your computer and it is free for individuals and students at Flotilla. I can help you with loading these items but it must be done before a Block has starting as sometimes it is a real pain and it might take up a class. Apple computers are OK but I have never in 50 years of programming even touched one Anyone in a Training Class is expected to have their own computer lap top or desk-top. Desk-top people must supply their own table and chair each time they come to class and remove it when class is over each class. classes are sold in blocks. There are SEVEN (7) classes per Block. Payments must be made in advance of class 1 of the Block you will be starting in. Refunds will be made if request is accompanied by a doctors certificate of the students inability to attend class. Simple not attending class is not a reason to expect a refund.
